The FDNY reported that two passengers, 15-year-old Sabrina Villa-Gomez from Nanuet, and 21-year-old Jilvante Roberson from Brooklyn, lost their lives en route to the hospital.
Villa-Gomez, a sophomore at Ramapo High School, has left the community in shock. In response to the tragedy, Clarence G. Ellis, the Superintendent of the East Ramapo School District, announced that counselors and clinical psychologists would be present at the high school to provide support, care, and resources for those in need.
